On this 10-hour tour you will start by visiting Tsaghkadzor, translated as "valley of flowers" and situated on the slope of the mountain. Moving on, see Kecharis a monastery complex in Tsaghkadzor. It is one of the most famous spiritual and cultural centers of medieval Armenia. Next you will visit Dilijan, which is usually called Armenian Switzerland for its fantastic natural forests. The town is a part of Dilijan National Park. The next stop is Haghartsin, a 10th century monastery which has been recently renovated by donation of Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, who was impressed by the monastery when visited it. Finally see Goshavank, another monastery surrounded by green territories. It also houses one of the world's finest examples of a "Khachkar" (Armenian cross-stone).

This 9-hour tour starts at 10am from the local operators head office in Yerevan. You will be driven to the North-Western part of Armenia for the first stop, Tsaghkadzor city, in the 'Valley of flowers'. This is considered to be one of the most popular winter resorts of Armenia, situated on the eastern slope of Teghenis Mountain, surrounded with virginal woods and alpine meadows.

Moving on, pay a visit to the Kecharis monastery in the north-western part of Tsakhkadzor. Dating back to the 11th century, the monastery includes four churches and ruins of the mausoleum of Grigorius Pahlavuni. Make a short stop to admire the views over Sevan Lake, one of Europe's highest altitude fresh-water lakes, ringed by dramatic mountains.

Continue to Dilijan town on the banks of the Aghstev River, where you'll enjoy a delicious Armenian-style lunch (own expense) at a local restaurant. Nearby, take a tour of the Goshavank monastery, founded by the famous medieval scientist Mkhitar Gosh.

Next, continue to the Ijevan wine factory for a tour and tasting, before ending your tour at the magnificent Haghartsin monastery, situated in the woodlands of Tavush region.

Your tour ends with drop-off in central Yerevan.
